PTA Rolling Out More Music Videos For Haim in 35mm

Happy Saturday, folks!

Haim announced today that they were only just getting started with Paul Thomas Anderson when they released the video for their track "Right Now" that he directed, back in April. Turns out PTA will be dispatching a new trio of performance videos from the group on 35mm. For right now, it looks like there's only one screening booked and it'll be in Brooklyn on July 5 as part of an exclusive promotion for the band's upcoming LP, which you can RSVP for here.

The short film is called Valentine and this is what the film can looks like, per Mark (@The_Prolefeed):

We imagine this thing will become more broadly available for public consumption at some point sooner rather than later, but more details on that will be posted as they become available.

  1. He directed the 'Right Now' video in early November; April was when it came out.

  2. I love this "new" phase in his career with musical projects. Not that he hasn't done videos previously, but with Junun and the capturing of live performances as well as a more organic approach to filming/being DP, it's great to see him still doing new things.

    1. Sapokanikan? Hot knife? Daydreaming? These are not uninspired in my opinion. Perhaps those last two performance vids by Radiohead and this thing, but I think those have just basically been PTA doing friends a favour cause he had a free hour. They're just performance vids.

  5. thank you so much for your sharing this nice article,
I really like to reading your blog !
